Kvinesdal - welcoming, beautiful and challenging

A drive along the stretch called Kvinesdal takes you on a magical journey. From high mountains to open moors, quiet waters and rich farmland before you end up by the spectacular fjord landscape. Throughout the drive, the river follows you like a ribbon decorating the gift of a journeys purpose. The ice ages' enormous glacier was generous to Kvinesdal. The ice created a welcoming landscape as it pushed its way down the mountain sides, creating a curved valley. The river winds quietly along the many twists and turns through
lush, rich farmland.

At the far end of the plain, Liknes - Kvinesdals' centre, awaits you. The wild river rumbles on the other side of the mountain and lures you towards adventurous hiking experiences and alluring hunting terrain.

The winter offers snow white cross country ski trails and downhill slopes. You may choose Krågeland, a stunning nature area with many exciting outdoor pursuits on offer. Alternatively, visit the old mining town Knaben, where you can participate in a variety of summer and winter activities
