At the far end of the fjord lies Flekkefjord with a cosy little town centre that invites you on a leisurely shopping expedition, or to explore the town by foot.
Flekkefjord is situated between Kristiansand and Stavanger, a 1,5 hours journey by car from either city. On the very edge of the mainland, facing the open sea, lies the island of Hidra. This small cultural community with much history and a colourful flora, is well worth a visit. The difference in the tide is so little that even the boats have garages!
